Shelburne's industrial sector continues to grow.
Council approved the construction of a medical marijuana facility to be built at 144 Luxton Way.
A homeowner that lives next to the proposed site, Karen Cole, voiced her concerns to council prior to the decision.
Cole lives to the north of Luxton Way and was concerned about the potential odour from the facility.
The proponents of the build were on hand to answer questions and assured her and council, that they are aiming for a "no odour policy."
The representatives said that because it's a completely enclosed building, there will be now smell from the processed product.
A series of HEPA and charcoal filters will prevent any odours from leaving the building.
The roughly $15-million investment could also produce up to 50 new jobs.
