Graffiti is popping up throughout Caledon and now police are investigating.
Officials with the OPP say graffiti isn't a victimless crime and when left unchecked can have a negative impact on a towns reputation.
They say property owners are left with the expense to have it removed.
Authorities say increasing the lighting around buildings and vulnerable areas will help to deter instances of vandalism.
They say restricting access to your property by adding fencing or bushes will also decrease the chance of you becoming a victim.
Caledon OPP want people to report any instances of graffiti.
