New Mental Health Resources Available For Huron County Students

Health professionals, online resources new for suffering students in Huron County schools

Huron County students now have more access to mental health services than ever before.

Candice Reich is a Community Wellness worker, and says local school boards are now staffing mental health workers at some Huron County schools to aide students who may be suffering silently.

Those staffers are working in tandem with the Tanner Steffler Foundation, a new charity whose mission is to change the culture surrounding mental health, addiction, and wellness services for youth and their families.

Reich also points to the organization WES For Youth as a modern tool for kids suffering with poor mental health.

WES For Youth connects Ontarians up to 25 years old with a counsellor who is able to provide help via private online chat.

Kids Help Phone continues to be a resource for children across Canada to reach out in times of need.
