Summerfolk This Weekend In Owen Sound

More than 40 performances are scheduled over the weekend.

The annual Summerfolk music festival is set to take over Kelso Beach this weekend.

Now in its 43rd year, the three-day event runs Friday through Sunday in Owen Sound and will feature a wide array of music, food and activities.

More than 40 performances are scheduled over the course of the weekend, with Juno award winners Susan Aglukark and Fred Penner among the headline artists hitting the stage.

Multi-Juno nominees Sarah Harmer and Bahamas (Alfir Jurvanen) are also among the performers at Summerfolk.

Polky Village Band will kick-off the weekend's entertainment at 6 p.m. Friday.

The festival wraps up Sunday evening with Bahamas as the closing performance.
