Parry Sound 33 "Being Held."

The forest fire forced hundred of people to evacuate their cottages and homes.

The Ministry of Natural Resources says the Parry Sound 33 forest fire is "being held", meaning it is no longer considered out of control.

The blaze erupted three weeks ago forcing hundreds to evacuate their homes and cottages.

The fire remains one of the largest in the province's northeast, over 11-hundred hectares.

The MNR says there are 120 active fires in Ontario.
