Arrest In Owen Sound Break And Enter

Police have arrested a 39 year old Wiarton man after seeing him on video surveillance.

Owen Sound police have made an arrest after a break and enter.

Police say on August 7th, at 8 a.m. Police were contacted by a business located in the 300 block of 8th Street East saying there was a break and enter.

The victim told police they believed that the business had been entered sometime over the weekend and that several computers and other items had been stolen.

The Criminal Investigation Branch and Intelligence unit reviewed the building's surveillance video and were able to identify the man responsible.

He was located early Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of 11th Street East and arrested.

A 39 year old Wiarton man will appear in court next month to answer to the charges of break and enter with intent, break and enter commit (theft over $5000), mischief, possession of property obtained by crime (over $5000), possession of break in instruments and possession of a prohibited weapon.
