Serious Injuries in Collision Near Tobermory

Driver sent to hospital after colliding with shuttle bus

One person suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision near Tobermory yesterday.

Bruce Peninsula OPP say officers were called out around 2:30 p.m. to the intersection of Highway 6 and Big Tub Road, where they arrived to find an accident involving a shuttle bus and a pick-up truck.

OPP say the shuttle bus was carrying two passengers and was stopped at a stop sign at the end of Highway 6, when it was struck from behind by a Ford F-150 pick-up truck.

The passengers in the shuttle bus were treated by EMS at the scene and released.

Police say the driver of the pick-up was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
