Massive Focused Search Today for Missing Man

Dufferin/Grey | by Jill Young

24 year old Doug Ardis was last seen June 6th leaving his grandmother's house in Mono.

There is a massive ground and vehicle search Tuesday afternoon to search for missing 24 year old Doug Ardis.

Ardis, who was originally from Dundalk, is now a Grey Highlands resident.

Originally, he was last seen leaving his grandmother's house on 30 Side Road June 6th, and was headed to a landscaping job that day in Flesherton.

Now OPP say he stopped at the LCBO in Dundalk around 2pm that same day

His family believes he could have stopped by his home on the 10th Concession in Grey Highlands.

Searches began by friends, family, and residents and there's been no trace of him yet.

Home base and check-in for the searches is at the Dundalk Arena, starting at 9 am.

This afternoon searchers are scouring an area from the 10th Concession to Osprey Artemesia Townline, east of Eugenia.

They need as many volunteers as possible as they cover ground from north of Markdale to Owen Sound and to Collingwood.

They are hoping to retrace Ardis' movements that day.

Anyone who finds anything or possibly spots Ardis or his silver pickup truck and black enclosed trailer are urged to call OPP immediately.
