Owen Sound's first-ever Pride Parade is set to take place today (Sunday).
It begins at 11 a.m. and will run along 2nd Avenue East from 10th Street to 7th Street.
2nd Avenue East will also be closed between 12th Street and 10th Street to stage the parade.
The event was organized in part by 16-year-old high school student Ryan Brown, who previously told Bayshore Broadcasting News it will be a big celebration of the LGBTQ community featuring floats, face-painting, music, flags and glitter.
A festival will also begin around noon following the parade, at the Bruce Grey Child and Family Services lot on 2nd Avenue East.
