From Lets Fix Hwy 6 Facebook Page

A warning from Bruce Peninsula OPP as the warmer weather approaches.

Constable Adam Belanger says they have started their patrol on Highway 6 watching for distracted, erratic, and speeding drivers

So far, it has been a tough start for drivers.

Belanger says between May 8th to May 14th, 6 drivers were charged with stunt driving on Highway 6.

Ages range between 18 to 42, and none were local.

Five people were killed in two separate crashes on Highway 6 last year.

Belanger says they are working with their media partners and on social media to get the message out there that Highway 6 is not the 400.

He adds, they will also be patrolling the road by air.

Belanger says this is new to the Bruce Peninsula.

They have not confirmed a schedule for the chopper to be in the area.
