Household Hazardous Waste Day

Kincardine | by Vanessa Culbert

The Kincardine Public Works Yard will be collecting materials from 8-1pm.

It's Household Hazardous Waste day in Kincardine.

The Kincardine Public Works Yard will be collecting household hazardous waste materials such as paints, oil, cleaners, batteries, chemicals, and propane tanks for disposal for free.

Hazardous materials can be spotted by their labels. They will say either corrosive, toxic, reactive or flammable.

Officials say improper disposal into drains, sewers, backyards or landfills endangers public health and contaminates water supplies and other natural resources.

The yard will be open from 8am until 1pm.
