Grey County OPP say a little girl who was hit by a motorcycle has been upgraded to fair condition in a London Hospital.
Police say the 7-year old was hit by a motorcycle on Grey Road 29 in Bognor, in the Municipality of Meaford just before 5 o'clock Tuesday evening.
According to the girl's mother, the child did not see the motorcycle coming when she stepped out onto the road.
The girl was taken first to the Owen Sound Hospital, and later airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries. She has since been upgraded to fair condition.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 45 year old man from Owen Sound, was transported to hospital with minor injuries and released.
OPP say speed was not a factor, and they do not anticipate charges.
The girl's mother tells Bayshore Broadcasting News she doesn't feel the driver is at fault.
Grey Road 29 was closed for a few hours on Tuesday night between Main Street and John Street in Bognor while police investigated.
Police are not releasing the name of the girl, who lives in Bognor.
