Huron County now has a permanent Economic Development Director.
Cody Joudry has been with the County's Economic Development department for more than a year, and was named to the position Thursday.
Joudry was hired in April 2017 as an Economic Development Officer, and became Acting Director in September.
He says his mission for the department is to reduce barriers and build capacity for economic growth, while supporting Huron's existing business community.
County Warden Jim Ginn says Joudry's appointment comes as the economic development team moves forward on workforce development, manufacturing, tourism and agriculture.
