Huron "Hike For Hospice" To Give First Look At New Facility

Central Huron | by Fadi Didi

Fundraising campaign will give visitors a chance to tour Huron's first hospice facility.

After years of fundraising, the public will be getting its first look at the new Huron Residential Hospice.

The grand opening of the facility between Holmesville and Clinton corresponds with this year's Hike For Hospice, which supports local awareness of palliative care.

This year's hike runs on May 6th, the same day the four-bed hospice will open for visits before patients are admitted.

Participants will also be taken for a walk on the property's "tranquility trail," which is designed to allow a peaceful visit to nature for those in end-of-life care.

The hospice sits on a 12-acre property, designed to give Huron County residents a familiar sense of home.
