The Bayfield Agricultural Society is looking for some tax relief from Huron County.
Officials are rebuilding their animal display building, which Ag Society spokesperson Doug Yeo says is currently in disrepair.
Yeo cites rot and mold as the main issues plaguing the current animal building.
In order to accomodate the new structure, the Ag Society was required to rezone the land it sits on, for a fee $1,836.
Yeo is requesting relief for the county portion of that fee, which is $1,224.
Plans for the new building will also allow for it to be used as storage in the cold season.
County officials say past councils have not waived rezoning costs, but a motion was carried for staff to investigate what options are available.
