Feedback on Grey County's official draft plan is being sought in a series of public meetings this month.
The plan is a guiding document that sets goals and policies about how Grey County should grow and develop over the next 20 years.
It is a land-use planning tool that impacts parks, schools and other key infrastructure such as roads and sewers.
The county will host open houses from March 12-15 in Markdale, Hanover and Owen Sound:
March 12 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grey Ag Services in Markdale
March 13 - 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Grey Federation of Agriculture in Hanover
March 14 - 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Grey Ag Services in Markdale
March 15 - 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Grey County Administration in Owen Sound
Grey County Director of Planning and Development Randy Scherzer says the open houses will allow people to review mapping and have face-to-face discussions with planners.
A formal public meeting goes on March 27 (from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.) at the Grey County administration building in Owen Sound.
County staff will review comments following the public meeting and prepare a revised draft plan.
The updated plan should come to county council sometime in late spring.
