Guzda gets first career shutout

Offence came from all over for the Owen Sound Attack in beating the Saginaw Spirit.

Maksim Sushko, Nick Suzuki, Brett McKenzie, Ethan Szypula and Alan Lyszczarczyk all scored as the Attack shutout Saginaw 5-0 in Ontario Hockey League action at the Bayshore Community Centre Saturday night.

According to Bayshore Broadcasting sports director Fred Wallace, Suzuki's marker was his 100th career goal in the OHL.

Owen Sound outshot Saginaw 34-16 while going 0 for 3 on the power play; Saginaw also finished 0 for 3.

Mack Guzda made 16 saves in the win while recording his first career OHL shutout. Evan Cormier allowed four goals on 23 shots in the loss. Cameron Lamour made 10 saves after entering the game to start the third period.

The Attack (34-22-3-5) return to action this afternoon at home against the OHL's top team, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (53-7-2-2).

Puck drop is 2 p.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
