A local woman is now heading up the Ontario Real Estate Association.
The 2018 President-Elect is Karen Cox, a Broker of Record with Sea and Ski Realty Limited of Kimberley, near Markdale.
Cox will also continue in the role of Provincial Director for Western Ontario Realtors.
The Western area consists of the real estate boards of Chatham-Kent, Grey Bruce Owen Sound, Huron Perth, London and St. Thomas, Sarnia-Lambton, Tillsonburg, Windsor-Essex County and Woodstock-Ingersoll.
The announcement follows the association's annual conference on February 27th to March 1st, in Toronto.
Active in real estate for 24 years, Karen Cox is has served as President of the Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound in 2010 and 2015.
The Ontario Real Estate Association represents 70,000 brokers and salespeople who are members of the 38 real estate boards throughout the province.
